Does the analyzer tell me whether a cosmetic is safe?
No. An ingredient list does not disclose the complete concentrations, purity, pH, stability, exposure or finished-product safety assessment. The tool describes names and cosmetic functions without assigning a toxic or safe score.
Why are some ingredients not recognised?
BeautyLearn maintains a curated, public database rather than claiming exhaustive coverage. A missing name may be uncommon, new, incorrectly transcribed by OCR or not yet reviewed. Check the label and consult CosIng or the manufacturer.
Does ingredient order reveal exact percentages?
No. Ingredients are generally listed by weight when added, but ingredients below 1% may appear in a different order and colourants follow specific rules. Position alone cannot reveal an exact concentration.
Does the tool score comedogenicity or ingredient compatibility?
No. Comedogenicity is not an absolute property that can be scored from one ingredient, and compatibility depends on the finished formula, concentrations, vehicle, use and individual context. BeautyLearn therefore avoids automatic product ratings.
