Appointment length is different from how long the result remains visible. The time in the salon affects your schedule; the next planned appointment affects your budget. Add travel, parking, and time away from work if they matter to your decision, keeping those personal costs separate from the salon bill.

What to ask about a full set

The artist assesses your natural lashes and discusses the length, curl, and fullness you want. Preparation, application, a final check, and aftercare instructions all take time. Ask what the quoted service includes and whether an initial consultation or removal of an existing set costs extra.

Lash lifts: tint, add-ons, and another appointment

Compare a lift alone with a lift alone, or two packages that both include tint. A hypothetical $95 lift plus $30 tint totals $125, so a $120 package would cost $5 less for those two services. If you do not want tint, ask for the actual price without it; a package may not have an automatic deduction.

For the classic example, setting aside $32.50 a week covers the $390 service total. For the lift example, $230 divided by 12 is about $19.17 a week. You still pay on the appointment dates. Twelve weeks are not exactly three calendar months, so use actual dates when comparing a monthly membership.

Two quotes with different full-set prices can still lead to the same total. A hypothetical $180 set plus three $70 fills costs the same $390 as a $210 set plus three $60 fills. If you need fills every two weeks instead, weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 mean five fills: $180 + 5 × $70 = $530. Confirm the likely schedule before choosing a plan.

Removal, tax, gratuity, and other extras

Removal is a separate $30 item at Dolce Blu and $50 at Envious Lashes. Ask whether it is included before a new set and whether the rate also applies to extensions done elsewhere. Arrange professional removal rather than pulling extensions off or using household solvents.

Keep these lines separate in your estimate: the service subtotal, any tax, a required service charge if one applies, and any gratuity you choose to leave. Ask whether the displayed price includes any of them. Do not apply a guessed tax rate or treat a suggested tip as an unavoidable percentage.

A deposit credited toward the treatment reduces the balance due; it does not increase the service price. A cancellation or late-arrival fee is a separate, conditional charge. Read when it applies, whether the deposit would be retained, and whether any further balance could be charged.

Do not assume six usable visits unless the terms and your schedule support them.

For a hypothetical prepaid package of three lifts costing $300, using all three means $100 per visit. If you can use only two before expiration, you have spent $150 per visit. Check the expiration date and what happens if another treatment is unsuitable. A package should fit the intervals your provider considers appropriate.

For a student-model offer, ask who supervises the appointment and how much time to allow. If a discount depends on photographs, clarify how the images will be used before agreeing. For a gift card, ask whether the recipient can choose another service if the intended treatment is unsuitable.

When to postpone and seek medical advice

Is a booking deposit an extra cost?

Is a follow-up check free?

Ask how soon you must report a problem, what the check covers, and whether any correction is included. A free check may not cover a change of style or a full fill. Contact the salon promptly about unexpected shedding and keep the response; do not wait until your next routine appointment to find out what is covered.

Can I get a fill at another salon?
